About NCHS Ironmen Bands

The Normal Community High School Band program challenges students in the areas of musicianship and personal growth. Student musicianship is encouraged and challenged through continued development of technical skills and aesthetic values that will lead to a lifetime of music performance and appreciation. Personal growth is encouraged and challenged through the development of the personal and interpersonal skills necessary to produce a successful cooperative group effort. Personal growth is further enhanced by the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends as the bands perform at various venues around the Midwest. Students have fun making music and learning to rely on each other.
